Several romantic courtyards and terraces offer stunning views of the mountains, the river 'Guadalevin', the old city and the renowned horse riding school 'Maestranza de Ronda'.
The subtropical indoor garden with a variety of exotic plants, birds and fish is an attraction for nature lovers.
Furthermore the premises include an outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, a dining room, a bar and various spacious lounge areas.
The decoration is original, edgy and with attention to detail.
Being hosted in an authentic Moorish building dating back to the 15th century, the major historical value of this property is indisputable. The garden even contains a 13th century watch tower wherein one of the bedrooms can be found. The residence has been used as well as a pilgrim’s guesthouse on the Compostela route, which is illustrated by remaining signs like the pilgrim’s shell carved in the wooden doors of the rooms.

To our own surprise, the hotel ended up before for instance Hotel Silken Puerta América in Madrid where one of the floors was decorated by the renowned architect Norman Forster.
This fact has been covered extensively by the Spanish press (El Mundo, La opinion de Malaga, etc.).

The hotel has a well equipped open kitchen and a dining room with view on one of the fishpounds of the subtropical indoor garden.
Decoration of the dining room is unique. For example, the back part of an old Seat 600 car has been integrated in the partition wall between the bar and the dining room. The back seat is a comfy couch, framed and enclosed by the wall, coach-work and car windows and open in the front facing the bar. The trunk serves as a kitchen cabinet being an alternative storage for plates, cups, and cutlery. |
